Product Description
Tarmax is the first in a series of admixtures designed for use as modifiers for coal tar pitch emulsion. Tarmax responds to those applications demanding the faster drying characteristics of a low-solid coating while providing the additional viscosity and strength required to suspend and bond low to medium levels of aggregate.
General Characteristics
Tarmax is a blended product based on acrylonitrile and other cross-linking polymers. A viscosity modifier and minor amounts of silicone have been added to improve mix , leveling and water resistance.
Tarmax should be stored in a cool, dry area. Freezing must be avoided as product is no longer useful once frozen. Spillage may be easily removed with water, if still wet.
Yield
Added to concentrated sealer, Tarmax should perform best by a concentration level of 2 to 3% by volume.

Application
Apply Tarmax additive after cutting Tarmax 50% with water and adding to finished mix design of sealer under slow agitation until mixed thoroughly.
